Samsungs new LE32b450 model
High Def ready 32″ Samsung TV , low price, high quality .
The image quality on the Samsung LE32B450 is good , this being despite the entry level B450. Colours are well balanced, the picture is sharp for gamers on their next gen consoles , plus there’s zero of that old blue tint.
This model uses the new, improved “Wide Color Enhancer 2″ technology, meaning no weak green and blue colours . It uses upto 16 bits of color depth, which corresponds to 280 trillion colours . The high contrast ratio also gives the LE32b450 good image depth and subtle shading.
Its standard res of 1366 x 768 hinders it from showing 1080 content with the type of sharp crispness that you might see on other full HD televisions . Not really an issue though , as you can’t really tell unless you’re sat practically nose to screen .
The TV shows standard definition images better than other 32-inch LCD televisions , and the scaling up ability is superb , capturing all detail either off air or from DVDs. No jagged edges in videos , and no noticeable digital noise.
Good black-level performance and basic definition handling, although there’s no full HD 1920×1080 screen res, or 100Hz refresh rate . Hardly a problem though, as the price is so low .
The Samsung LE32B450 works well with 1080p/24 video signal games consoles, and the integrated SRS Tru-Surround system provides audio performance that is perfectly acceptable for most uses , therefore saving on the cost of a home cinema system. The speakers are hidden well inside the TV and use indirect firing technology to create a spacious sound.
The B450 comes with lots of connections including Scart and HDMI , It appears the only thing it’s missing is a headphone jack!
The set up is fast and easy , with the item being unpacked to up and ready in 15 minutes. Once everything is connected and turned on there’s a short welcome and a configuration to take you through the usual settings.
The feel of this TV is a stylsh one with piano black finish so it fits in anywhere .
